Modeling and analysis of a supply-assembly-store chain
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider a supply–assembly–store chain with produce-to-stock strategy, which comprises a set of component suppliers, a mixed-model assembly line with a constantly moving conveyor linking a set of workstations in series, and a set of product storehouses. Each supplier provides components of a specified family, which are assembled at a corresponding workstation. Units belonging to different models of products are sequentially fed onto the conveyor, and pass through the workstations to generate finished products. Each storehouse stores finished products belonging to a specific model for satisfying customer demands. The suppliers deliver components according to a just-in-time supply policy with stochastic leadtimes. Customer demands for a particular model of products arrive at the corresponding storehouse according to a Poisson stream. The paper conducts a modeling and performance analysis in the design stage of the system in the sense of ‘‘long-term-behavior’’. A rolling technique is constructed for analyzing stationary probability distributions of the numbers of components. A two-dimensional Markov chain with infinite states is introduced for analyzing stationary probability distributions of inventories of finished products. Based on these distributions, performance measures of the system, such as work-in-process of components, inventory amounts of finished products, as well as service levels for customers, can be easily obtained. Managerial insights are obtained from both analytical and numerical results. 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Making Optimal Decisions of Assembly Products in Supply Chain
The strategic pricing decisions of assembly products in assembly products supply chain are studied in this paper. Firstly, a two-stage assembly products supply chain model is developed. By building Nash game model, the Nash equilibrium solution of pricing strategy of supplier and assemblers is obtained. Next, a union decision model is built to analyze the optimal combination pricing strategy of...

Background and Aim: The overall goal of the medical department is to develop and manage an efficient and effective supply chain. Intrinsic instability and unpredictability of treatment needs to require a flexible supply chain. Agility reflects the hospital's response to environmental changes, and agile hospitals are able to provide appropriate services to the patients. Hospital supply chain man...
متن کاملGreen Supply Chain Risk Network Management and Performance Analysis: Bayesian Belief Network Modeling
With the increase in environmental awareness, competitions and government policies, implementation of green supply chain management activities to sustain production and conserve resources is becoming more necessary for different organizations. متن کاملA novel bi-level stochastic programming model for supply chain network design with assembly line balancing under demand uncertainty
This paper investigates the integration of strategic and tactical decisions in the supply chain network design (SCND) considering assembly line balancing (ALB) under demand uncertainty. Due to the decentralized decisions, a novel bi-level stochastic programming (BLSP) model has been developed in which SCND problem has been considered in the upper-level model, while the lower-level model contain...
